Also the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam has said, “Whoever sincerely begs from Allah to grant him the status of Shahadah (martyrdom), Allah will raise him from among the martyrs even though he passes away on his bed (home)”. There are some weak hadiths, which say that if a person recites Surah Yasin continuously he will die as a shaheed. It will be preferable to read the aforementioned verses individually and also quietly to refrain from disturbing others who still may be in their prayers. (Musnad Ahmad, Sunan Darimi & Sunan Tirmizi) If a person recites the same solemn words in the evening, he will attain the same status. Saaiduna Maqil Ibn Yasar Radiallahu Anhu narrates that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said, “Whoever when he wakes in the morning says ‘I seek refuge with Allah against the accursed satan’ and then recited three verses from the last part of Surah Hashr, will be assigned seventy thousand angels to pray for him until the evening, and should he die that day, he would have died a martyr. However, there is a hadith which encourages us to read the last part of Surah Hashr in the morning and the evening. If this Surah is recited for forty consecutive days without missing a day, it will make even the hardest task become an easy one.I have not come across any hadith, which says that the last part of Surah Hashr should be read after the Maghrib salah. Drinking water in which this Surah has been dissolved is good for memory and concentration. If a four-rak'ah prayer is recited where after Surah al-Hamd Surah al-Hashr is recited, then whatever important work one goes to do will be successful (with the condition that it is not a sin). If a person recites both Surah ar-Rahman and Surah al-Hashr then one angel will be assigned to protect him at all times. It is narrated that whoever recites this Surah will be sent salutations from Jannah, Jahannam, the angels, the Heavens, the Earth, the trees, the birds, the sun and the moon and these will pray for the forgiveness of his sins. This Surah is 'madani' and it has 24 ayaat. Such blessings will be bestowed upon the recite owing to reflection upon its contents as the same reflects in man's life. Had he died on that day or night, he will be a martyr. Numerous merits have been mentioned for the recitation of the blessed Chapter in question.Īccording to a Prophetic tradition, whoever recites Surah al-Hashr, Paradise, Hell, Throne, the seven heavens and the earth, as well as animals, winds, birds, trees, creatures, the sun, the moon, and all angels invoke God Almighty that He may bestow His Mercy upon him and forgive him. The blessed Chapter mainly treats of hypocrites' collaboration with Medinan Jews against the Muslims, though the Holy Qur'an says that their stratagems lead to nothing but their humiliation and defeat. The blessed Chapter opens and closes with the glorification of God Almighty by all the world of existence. The word does not denote gathering on the Day of Resurrection, but it connotes people's gathering for migration. Is mentioned in the second Verse, hence the designation of the Chapter. The blessed Chapter has twenty-four Verses and it was revealed in Medina. It is mentioned in that when a person recites Sura al-Hashr, all creatures praise him and send blessings upon him and ask for his forgiveness and if he dies that day or that night, he will be considered a martyr. The topics mentioned in this sura are defeat of the Jews of banu nadir by muslims, the rulings about distribution of properties and booties Muslims gained without war, criticism of hypocrites and disclosing their actions, description and admiration of the immigrants' sacrifices. Sura al-Hashr begins with the praise of god and ends with His glorification. The name of sura is adopted from the second verse which mentions the exile of jews from medina. It is a madani sura located in juz twenty eight. Sūra al-Ḥashr is the fifty-ninth sura of the quran. (The Gathering) Section 28 (juz') Number of Verses: 24 The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray. ![]() You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help. All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord of the 'Alamîn. In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
